On April 18, 2012, the vessel formerly known as the 'Thor Supplie' arrived in St. John's, New Brunswick, Canada, for a significant milestone as it was officially transferred to its new proprietors, Atlantic Towing Ltd. The ship's final journey took her from Las Palmas in the Canary Islands to her new home port. During the handover ceremony, prominent figures including Hans Andrias Joensen, CEO, and Per Gulklett, marketing director of Atlantic Towing Ltd., were in attendance to finalize the acquisition and register the vessel's new name: 'Irving Birch'.
