On Friday, the fishing vessel Alaskan Leader, a 150-foot catcher-processor registered in Kodiak, was escorted to Dutch Harbor following a significant fire outbreak that compromised its starboard main engine. According to KMXT, the fire erupted in the engine room on Thursday night, while the vessel was approximately 103 miles northwest of Unimak Pass.
