Three Vessels Sustained Minor Damage in Azov Port Collision
On April 18, 2017, at approximately 3:30 a.m., the bulk carrier 'M. Andreev' (IMO: 8946377) experienced a steering failure while navigating through Anchorage 1 at Azov Port. The vessel, which was transporting a cargo of wheat, collided with the portside bow of the anchored 'Aleksandr Lebed' (IMO: 8866826) and the bulbous bow of the berthed 'Rusich 2' (IMO: 9317016). Fortunately, all three ships incurred only minor damages as a result of the incident, and the 'M. Andreev' was subsequently moored at Anchorage 1.
