Sealand Asia has successfully landed a significant charter deal, promising to boost its trading operations in Asia. The charter, valued at an impressive $24,000 per day, is set to run for a period ranging between 18 to 21 months. This strategic move is expected to enhance Sealand Asia's market position, facilitating robust trade connections across the region.

In an exciting development for maritime operations, the vessel Arimna has successfully obtained a new time charter. This charter will see the ship engaged in trade within Colombo, as well as navigating the routes of India and Myanmar. For a duration of 3 to 4 months, Arimna will operate at a daily rate of $7,500, marking a significant opportunity for growth and operational expansion in these vibrant regional markets.

In a significant development within the maritime sector, Pacific International Lines (PIL), in collaboration with Luen Thai Group, has successfully acquired Mariana Express Lines, a container line also based in Singapore. The acquisition was finalized this month and the terms of the deal remain undisclosed. With this move, PIL now holds the majority stake in Mariana Express Lines, while the Mariana brand will continue to operate under its established identity. Established in 1997, Mariana Express Lines specializes in niche shipping routes across Asia, particularly focusing on the Pacific Islands and has its own agency division, Mariana Shipping. This merger aligns with PIL's existing operations, which include its subsidiaries, Pacific Direct Lines and Advanced Container Lines, providing container services in the Southern Pacific Islands and feeder services throughout Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent respectively. This acquisition marks a strategic expansion for PIL into further enhancing its service offerings in the region.
