On August 5, 2025, the vessel 'Amany Queen' faced detention in Gemlik due to a total of 16 deficiencies identified by maritime authorities, eight of which were classified as severe enough to warrant immediate action. Key issues included expired navigation charts, significant corrosion in bulkheads, and a variety of critical safety and emergency equipment failures. Specifically, the vessel's life-saving appliances, including inflatable liferafts, were not operational, and essential emergency drills for enclosed space entry had not been conducted. Furthermore, several fire safety concerns were highlighted: fire doors and openings in fire-resistant divisions were deemed unsafe, and the fixed fire extinguishing system was found inoperative, while ventilation systems were missing. After addressing these issues, the 'Amany Queen' was released on August 6 and has since set sail towards Sibenik, with an expected arrival date of August 23.
