APL Dublin Joins the Fleet: 10,700-TEU Container Ship Delivered for Asia-Europe Operations
Singapore's Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) has proudly announced the addition of the APL Dublin, a 10,700-TEU container vessel, to its fleet. This marks the final delivery from a series of six ships originally ordered in two phases during June 2007 and August 2010. The APL Dublin is part of a larger initiative that initially aimed for eight 10,000-TEU vessels, constructed across two notable South Korean shipyards: Daewoo and Hyundai Heavy Industries. Eventually, the order was expanded to encompass a total of ten ships. The first four ships from Hyundai Heavy Industries rolled out between December 2011 and May 2012, as reported by Alphaliner. With its recent delivery, the APL Dublin is set to enhance the G6 Asia-Europe Loop 7 alongside its sister ship, the APL Paris, which joined the fleet in November. This strategic deployment underscores APL's commitment to maintaining a robust presence in the Asia-Europe shipping corridor.
