Wagenborg Offshore Secures Long-Term Deal for Arcticaborg in Canadian Arctic
Wagenborg Offshore has announced a significant long-term agreement with Fathom Marine to deploy its versatile multipurpose offshore vessel, the Arcticaborg, for a duration of five years. This contract, commencing in mid-July 2017, will see the Arcticaborg operating from Vancouver, Canada, providing critical marine support in the Western Canadian Arctic. The Arcticaborg will undertake a variety of essential tasks including ice-breaking, ice navigation assistance, fuel supply logistics, salvage operations, and routine cargo runs. Previously, the vessel has demonstrated its capabilities in challenging environments, having served in numerous oil and gas projects in the Caspian Sea, an area known for its shallow waters and harsh ice conditions. After two decades of dedicated service in this ecologically sensitive region, the Arcticaborg is set to embark on a new chapter, tackling similar challenges in the Arctic waters of Canada.
