Working Conditions Aboard the As-Nina

Diana Containerships has made a significant announcement regarding the m/v CENTAURUS, one of its Panamax container vessels. The company, through a wholly-owned subsidiary, has successfully negotiated an extension of its time charter contract with CMA CGM, based in Marseille. This extension will last a minimum of eight months, with the option to extend it for up to twelve months. The gross charter rate is set at $7,950 per day; however, this amount is subject to a 3.5% commission payable to third parties. The revised charter period is anticipated to begin on August 23, 2017. The m/v CENTAURUS, a state-of-the-art vessel, boasts a capacity of 3,426 TEU and was constructed in 2010, highlighting its modern specifications and operational efficiency.

In a strategic move to bolster its operations, CMA CGM has announced a significant charter extension lasting between four to seven months. This extension will enhance their trading activities between the Continent and the US East Coast. The decision reflects CMA CGM's commitment to optimizing its service offerings in a competitive maritime market.
