On March 13, 2019, the cargo vessel 'Amelia Borchard' faced detention at the Port of Salerno following a port state control inspection carried out by the Port Authority after its arrival from Alexandria. The inspection uncovered various deficiencies related to navigation safety, which placed the vessel below the minimum safety standards mandated by national and international regulations. Among the critical issues identified was a malfunctioning hatch designed to prevent water ingress into the cargo hold. After necessary repairs and improvements were made, the 'Amelia Borchard' resumed its journey on March 17, heading towards Barcelona, with an estimated time of arrival set for March 19.

The WEC van Eyck, a 9,962 gross ton vessel with IMO number 9354404, has overcome recent engine complications that arose on the evening of August 26. The ship docked in Klaipeda on September 3, 2011, at approximately 3 a.m. at the Container, Bulk and Cold Cargo Terminal, marking a successful conclusion to its repairs.
