On the morning of November 3, 2014, a fire ignited in cargo hold 3 of the Lady Francise, a vessel moored in Algiers. Thanks to a rapid response, the flames were swiftly brought under control. Following the incident, a specialized team from Epal was deployed to investigate the fire's origin. The Lady Francise had arrived at the bustling port of Algiers on October 31, carrying a shipment of bananas. Cargo operations had just begun on the morning of November 3 when, at around 9 a.m., smoke and fire were first detected. Thankfully, only a small quantity of cartons caught fire during the incident.
