Costamare Bulkers has officially announced the sale of the 'Bermondi', marking the departure of the oldest ship in its fleet as part of an ongoing initiative to modernize its operations. Under the guidance of CEO Gregory Zikos, the company aims to finalize the sale of this supramax vessel by the third quarter of 2026. While the identity of the buyer and specific financial details remain undisclosed, industry sources indicate the transaction could be valued at approximately $15.3 million. The 'Bermondi' stands out as the sole vessel in Costamare Bulkers’ 30-strong fleet that was built prior to 2010. The fleet's structure now includes six capesizes, seven kamsarmaxes, nine ultramaxes, and seven supramaxes, reflecting the company’s commitment to maintaining a competitive and efficient maritime operation.
