Incident in Playa Blanca: Five Passengers Injured in Bocayna Express Allision
On February 2, 2020, the ferry 'Bocayna Express' was involved in a minor accident while attempting to dock at the port of Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. During this docking maneuver, five passengers sustained injuries due to a slight impact. Emergency services were promptly called to the scene, with two ambulances dispatched to provide assistance and evaluate the injured individuals. Out of the five, two passengers were taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution for further medical assessment. Fortunately, after catering to the passengers' needs, the ferry resumed its regular operations without significant delay. The vessel itself incurred only minor damage to its starboard side, which will be addressed upon its arrival at the port of Corralejo.
