VOS Patriot Joins the Fleet: Vroon Hosts Official Naming Ceremony in Rotterdam
On May 28, Vroon celebrated the naming ceremony of its latest platform-supply vessel, the VOS Patriot, in a significant event held in Rotterdam. The prestigious occasion was graced by Mrs. van der Velde, the wife of Mr. Wim van der Velde, Chief Technical Officer of Seaway Heavy Lifting, who had the honor of naming the vessel. VOS Patriot is the sixth and final vessel in the esteemed PX-121 series of platform-supply vessels (PSV) that were meticulously constructed at Cosco Guangdong Shipyard in China, having officially joined Vroon's fleet just last month. Featuring the innovative Ulstein-patented X-BOW® design, the VOS Patriot promises enhanced stability, superior fuel efficiency, and unparalleled comfort during operations at sea. Currently, all six vessels in this series operate under the management of Vroon Offshore Services, with VOS Patriot's five sister vessels actively serving in regions across North West Europe and the Mediterranean.
