The Labour and Social Security Inspectorate has validated a complaint filed by the State Coordinator of the Port Workers Union, CETP, regarding excessive working hours for the crew of the "Bunker Breeze," a vessel engaged in bunkering services in the Bay of Algeciras. Investigations revealed that the 16-member crew had exceeded the legal working limit, clocking in over 72 hours within a single week. This breach of regulations is deemed serious and reflects a contravention of the Workers' Statute, which stipulates that, barring exceptional circumstances, individuals cannot work more than 14 hours in any 24-hour period or surpass 72 hours across seven days.
