On the night of January 26, 2016, the bulk carrier 'Golden Enterprise' faced a critical emergency while anchored in the Wester Scheldt, close to Terneuzen. The vessel's anchor unexpectedly dragged, putting it at risk of running aground. Thanks to the quick response of the crew, who initiated the engine immediately, and the timely arrival of the tug 'Braakman' along with three additional tugs from Multraship and one from URS, the precarious situation was swiftly managed. By 10:55 PM, the crew successfully lifted the anchor and navigated the ship back to the safe anchorage area of the Put of Terneuzen. The following day, January 27, at 9:25 AM, 'Golden Enterprise' docked at Rodenhuizen Dock in Gent. It is common practice for bulk carriers that are heavily loaded for access to the Ghent-Terneuzen route to first secure their anchor at the Put of Terneuzen, where they offload a portion of their cargo before proceeding into port.
