At noon on July 12, the Paros Port Authority received alarming news as a 24-year-old man unexpectedly jumped from the ramp of the 'Champion Jet 2' while it was in the process of departing from Parikia port, located on the island of Paros. The incident occurred when the ramp had just lifted a few feet above the pier. Fortunately, a Port Authority officer quickly intervened and assisted the man, who surprisingly revealed that he was not a passenger aboard the vessel. No injuries were reported as a result of this unusual event. In response, the Paros Port Authority has begun an administrative sanctions procedure to address the situation.
