As of July 9, 2026, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have announced a significant escalation in their attacks, claiming to have targeted 14 vessels in the Sea of Azov, which are purportedly involved in supplying Russian-occupied Crimea. Among the damaged ships are the 'Chelsea 6', 'Aura', 'Ilya Repin', 'Mercury', 'Galiasgar Kamal', 'Venus III', 'Penelope', and the tugboat 'Alfeo', as well as the barge 'Aphrodite'. The 414th Unmanned Strike Aviation Brigade, also known as Magyar’s Birds, reported on the same day that overnight strikes took out 12 tankers, one dry cargo ship, and a tug, advancing their campaign against maritime supply routes. The brigade indicated that they had targeted the 'Chelsea 6', which, according to AIS tracking data, was last located in the southern Black Sea just five days prior. It's worth noting that numerous vessels operating in both the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov often disable their AIS broadcasts due to security concerns. Confirmation of the strikes on the other claimed vessels is still pending.
