In the early hours of August 6, 2011, a maritime incident occurred in the busy port area of the Azov Sea when the Russian cargo vessel m/v Antares (IMO 8422682) collided with another ship, the m/v Cheyenne. The accident took place at approximately 0355 hours, as the Cheyenne was making its exit from the port under the guidance of a pilot. During the incident, the Cheyenne veered off the designated channel, resulting in a dented bulwark. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries or environmental damage following this collision.
