On December 13, 2020, during the early hours, a dramatic incident unfolded as a crew member onboard the 'Clearocean Miracle' fell overboard in the Caribbean Sea. The Filipino national, Asís Joeman De La Peña, plunged from the main deck while the vessel was en route to Guatemala, following a fuel unloading at Tela port.
