Working Conditions Aboard the Club-Med-2

On the evening of November 16, 2017, the cruise ship 'Club Med 2' played a pivotal role in a search and rescue operation for two sailors from the yacht 'Tyago,' which tragically sank in the waters between Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent, Martinique. The incident occurred at approximately 7 p.m., prompting immediate action from various sea vessels, including the container ship 'San Christobal' and the French navy frigate 'Ventose.' After several tense hours adrift, the two crew members were successfully hoisted to safety by a helicopter after clinging to a cooler in the water for about five hours. Following their rescue, they received medical attention aboard the French navy frigate, ensuring their recovery after the harrowing ordeal.
