The Port of Felixstowe is excited to announce the inaugural call of a new transatlantic shipping service, which docked at the UK's busiest container port last Saturday. This new venture, operated by The New World Alliance Lines, will connect northern Europe and the UK with select ports along the US east coast as well as Panama. Known as the Americas Europe Express (AEE), this service marks the Alliance's third addition to their transatlantic offerings, further enhancing their existing weekly routes at Felixstowe. One of the standout features of the AEE service is its impressive eight-day transit time for westbound shipments from the Port of Felixstowe to New York. The Alliance will utilize high-reefer-capacity vessels, each boasting an average effective capacity of 3,200 TEU, on this weekly service. The first vessel to arrive from the eastbound route, the 'APL Indonesia,' is scheduled to reach the Suffolk port on March 24.
