The CMA CGM Group proudly announces the addition of the CMA CGM LITANI to its fleet, following its recent delivery on December 3, 2014, in China. This remarkable vessel, with a capacity of 10,622 TEUs, is the third in a groundbreaking series of 28 ships, each designed to carry between 9,400 and 10,900 TEUs. The ongoing deliveries are scheduled to continue through the third quarter of 2016. Notably, the CMA CGM DANUBE was the first vessel from this series, delivered last June. Each ship in this exceptional lineup is named after a renowned river, showcasing the CMA CGM Group's commitment to celebrating global waterways. The CMA CGM LITANI sails under the Maltese flag and is the fruit of collaborative efforts between skilled Chinese shipbuilders at NTS (New Times Shipbuildings) located in Jiangsu Province, the CIMC group, and the technical team at CMA CGM Group. Measuring 300 meters in length and 48 meters in width, the CMA CGM LITANI has been meticulously engineered to maximize loading potential while adhering to the technical limitations required for safe passage through the Strait of the Bosphorus. Additionally, this vessel boasts an impressive capacity for 1,458 reefer plugs (40’), the largest capacity to date for a ship of its kind.
