Feb 07, 2013 11:21

In a remarkable accolade, nine vessels constructed by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) have been recognized as the finest ships of 2012. This achievement marks the fifth consecutive year that DSME has seen more than nine of its ships selected for this prestigious honor. The leading maritime publications, renowned for their expertise in shipbuilding and shipping, convene annually to highlight the best vessels in the industry. Among them, the UK-based magazine ‘Naval Architect’ distinguished four ships as significant vessels of 2012, while ‘Fairplay Solution’ selected two. Notably, the highest-ranked vessels included four crude oil carriers and three container ships, alongside one product carrier and one passenger ship. The CMA CGM Marco Polo, the standout of the lot, garnered selections from all three major magazines.
