This impressive vessel stretches 400 meters and has a capacity of 20,600 TEU, making it one of the largest container ships constructed at Hanjin Heavy Industries' facility in the Philippines. Notably, it holds the title of the largest ship registered under the French flag. The CMA CGM Antoine De Saint Exupéry was officially inaugurated earlier this month in Le Havre, with a ceremonial christening led by Bruno Le Maire, the Minister of Economy and Finance, alongside Elisabeth Borne, the Minister in charge of Transport.

In an exciting development for the maritime industry, the French shipping giant CMA CGM has officially launched its newest flagship, the CMA CGM Antoine De Saint Exupery, in Le Havre, France. This impressive vessel measures 400 meters in length and 59 meters in width, boasting a remarkable capacity of 20,600 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU), rendering it the largest ship to fly the French flag. The CMA CGM Antoine De Saint Exupery was delivered to the company in January, having been constructed by Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction in Subic, Philippines. This vessel is the inaugural member of a trio of similar ships currently under construction for CMA CGM. Previously, the title of flagship was held by the CMA CGM Bougainville, which is an ultra-large container vessel (UCLV) capable of carrying approximately 18,000 TEU.
