On the evening of January 2, 2024, the container ship 'CMA CGM Tage', which was on its way from Singapore to Alexandria, Egypt, faced a dangerous incident in the Red Sea. Reports confirm that Houthi militants launched an assault, resulting in three explosions occurring near the vessel's portside quarter, approximately 15 miles southwest of Mocha, Yemen. The ship's captain was quick to respond, communicating via VHF to alert a coalition warship about the threat. The missiles, originating from the Taiz Governorate of Yemen, targeted the vessel. Shortly after the incident, another nearby vessel observed a suspicious small boat, approximately 50 meters long, illuminated with two lights, just one mile from the site of the attack. Fortunately, neither the crew aboard the 'CMA CGM Tage' nor the ship itself sustained any injuries during this alarming encounter.
