On October 16, 2021, the container ship AS Rosalia faced a mechanical failure while carrying a crew of 17 members, leaving it stranded between Kythera and the Peloponnese at coordinates 36° 20' 58" N, 023° 09' 34" E at 7:15 PM. The vessel was sailing from Piraeus to Rijeka when it lost power and began drifting in 5 Beaufort westerly winds. The situation improved when tugboat Lyboussakis Chios arrived to assist, towing the disabled ship to the Piraeus anchorage, where it arrived on October 18 at 7:26 AM. Subsequently, on October 19, AS Rosalia was taken in tow by tugs Leon (IMO: 8312007) and Christos XIII (IMO: 8127921), guiding it safely to the Piraeus Container Terminal SA. The ship finally docked at 1:20 PM on October 19 to unload its cargo prior to initiating necessary repairs.

On June 17, 2021, a tragic maritime accident occurred under the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge in Istanbul, resulting in the loss of two fishermen's lives. The incident involved the container ship 'AS Rosalia', which was navigating from Istanbul to Constanta, and the Turkish fishing vessel 'Erkenoğlu'. As the 'AS Rosalia' was heading northwards through the Bosphorus, it collided with the fishing boat, which subsequently partially sank. Prompt responses from local rescue teams included tugs 'Kurtarma 12' and 'Mehmetçik', along with the lifeboat 'KEGM 8' and 'Harlisiye 1'. Out of the three fishermen aboard, two were tragically pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital by the Coast Guard, while the third sustained injuries. Following the collision, the 'AS Rosalia' completed its transit before anchoring off Kumköy for further investigations by the Port Authority.
