The SAR vessel 'Miguel de Cervantes' was dispatched to assist the distressed container ship and efficiently established a towing connection. This facilitated a safe transfer to port tugs, which guided the 'Contship New' into the dock at Las Palmas. Later that same day, the container ship continued its journey, departing once again from the port with a destination of Banjul, slated to arrive by September 26.
