Coral Medusa Successfully Completes Intermediate Survey at Damen Shiprepair Harlingen
The LNG carrier Coral Medusa, operated by the Anthony Veder Group, has successfully wrapped up her intermediate survey at Damen Shiprepair Harlingen. Notably, this survey was conducted while the vessel remained under gas vapours from her previous cargo, showcasing Damen's expertise in handling such specialized operations. Damen Shiprepair & Conversion offered three certified facilities—Flushing, Schiedam, and Harlingen—capable of performing repairs on gas tankers that have not been made gas-free. Due to immediate availability, the Coral Medusa docked at Harlingen on July 19, allowing for efficient and timely maintenance work. This accomplishment highlights the shipyard's capability to manage complex repair and maintenance tasks safely and effectively.
Anthony Veder Expands Fleet with Acquisition of Four Gas Tankers from L.G.R. di Navigazione
In a notable expansion of its maritime capabilities, Anthony Veder has successfully acquired four gas tankers from L.G.R. di Navigazione, enhancing its operational fleet. Included in this acquisition are two semi-pressurized and fully refrigerated gas carriers: the Castel Dell’ Ovo (IMO: 9359519) built in 2007 and the Castello Di Gradara (IMO: 9412657) from 2009. These vessels have been under the commercial management of Anthony Veder since early 2015 and are set to be delivered in the upcoming months. Upon arrival, they will be rebranded as Coral Medusa and Coral Monactis, reflecting Anthony Veder's commitment to innovation. Additionally, the company is expected to take delivery of two 8,000 cu m ethylene carriers in the near future. The Castel Nuovo (IMO: 9412655), launched in 2009, and Castel Sant’ Elmo (IMO: 9412656), also from 2009, will transition from the Lauritzen Kosan Pool and be renamed Coral Pearl and Coral Patula, respectively. This strategic purchase underscores Anthony Veder's ongoing efforts to modernize its fleet and enhance service capabilities in the maritime gas transportation sector.
