Anthony Veder Expands Fleet with Purchase of Four Gas Carriers
In a strategic move to enhance its operations, Anthony Veder has acquired four gas tankers from the Italian company L.G.R. di Navigazione. This purchase marks a significant expansion for the fleet, which is set to benefit from the addition of two notable semi-pressurized and fully refrigerated gas carriers. The vessels, Castel Dell’Ovo (IMO: 9334409), launched in 2007, and Castello Di Gradara (IMO: 9347746), introduced in 2009, have been under Anthony Veder's commercial management since early 2015. These two carriers are scheduled for delivery in the coming months, with plans to rename them Coral Medusa and Coral Monactis, respectively. Moreover, the deal includes two ethylene carriers, Castel Nuovo (IMO: 9347758) and Castel Sant’ Elmo (IMO: 9347747), both built in 2009. These 8,000 cu m carriers are projected to join the Anthony Veder fleet shortly after their exit from the Lauritzen Kosan Pool and will be rebranded as Coral Pearl and Coral Patula. This acquisition not only bolsters Anthony Veder's operational capacity but also reflects the company's ongoing commitment to optimizing its fleet for future growth.
