On February 14, 2016, the port of Valencia witnessed a maritime incident when the container ship 'HH Johanna' broke free from its moorings due to severe wind conditions. Docked at the Costa wharf, the vessel was pushed by gusts reaching up to 50 knots and began drifting towards the 'Cosco Europe', which was securely moored at the Noatum Terminal. In response to the emergency, four tugs from Boluda Maritime's Valencia base quickly arrived on the scene. Working tirelessly for hours, two tugs provided six hours of sustained assistance, while two additional tugs came in for one hour each to regain control of the situation. Fortunately, the two ships were able to avoid a major collision, with only minor contact affecting the foreships. The 'Cosco Europe' departed the port on February 15, setting its course for Piraeus.
