Seaspan Corporation proudly announced the delivery of its latest addition to the fleet, the COSCO Excellence, on March 7, 2012. This state-of-the-art 13100 TEU containership, built by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., marks Seaspan's first vessel delivery of the year and brings its operational fleet to a total of 66 vessels. The COSCO Excellence has been chartered to COSCO Container Lines Co., Ltd. under a fixed-rate, twelve-year agreement. As the fifth out of eight sister ships, the COSCO Excellence represents Seaspan's commitment to expanding its services, reaching a milestone of 15 out of 18 vessels chartered to COSCON.
