Authorities in Kingston, Jamaica are currently conducting an investigation into the unsettling death of a Ukrainian engineer aboard the vessel 'Crystal A', which docked at Kingston port on January 8, 2024. The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old Manzhos Yuriy, the ship's chief engineer from Nikolacv, located in southern Ukraine. On January 10, at approximately 11:45 AM, a crew member entered Yuriy’s cabin for a routine check and discovered him unresponsive. Yuriy, found shirtless and wearing black and grey shorts, was lying face up on his bed, with foaming at the corners of his mouth, suggesting a medical emergency. Despite thorough examinations by local law enforcement, no clear signs of foul play were detected; however, several blood spots were noted on the lower back of Yuriy’s body, indicative of lividity. Following the investigation, the ship resumed its journey, leaving the port on January 10, 2024.
