Oman Shipping Company Welcomes Third VLCC Daba from Hyundai Heavy Industries
ULSAN (South Korea) - Oman Shipping Company (OSC) has proudly announced the recent acquisition of its third very large crude carrier (VLCC), named Daba, from Hyundai Heavy Industries Company (HHI) at their Ulsan shipyard. With an impressive deadweight tonnage (DWT) of 317,000, Daba measures 333 meters in overall length, features a beam width of 60 meters, and has a design draft of 21 meters. This new vessel marks the 11th in OSC's ambitious plan to operate a fleet of 17 VLCCs, and stands as the third delivery from an order of five. Daba will be integrated into the VL8 pool, expertly managed by NAVIG8, where OSC is a valued shareholder.
