The contract involves the deployment of the Safe Swift, an accommodation vessel owned by Axis Offshore, which Prosafe will manage commercially. On April 9, 2018, at approximately 6:40 p.m., the supply ship "Safe Swift" experienced a significant incident when it allided with the Sabratha Platform, an oil facility operating in 190 meters of water, located 110 kilometers off the coast of Libya in the Bahr Essalam offshore field. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported from the event, though the platform did incur minor damage. The "Safe Swift" suffered damages to its upper deck machinery and equipment, and its port side bow bulwark was dented in the collision. In response to this incident, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) has initiated a commission of inquiry to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the allision. Experts from the NOC and Mellitah Oil and Gas Company convened at the site to scrutinize the details of the event. Furthermore, a specialized global inspection firm has been tasked with assessing the impact of the occurrence and preparing a comprehensive report for the NOC. As of April 15, 2018, the "Safe Swift" was reported to be stationary, located 8.9 nautical miles from Bouri Terminal in Libya, at coordinates 33°45'02.82"N latitude and 12°41'01.96"E longitude.
