This significant event took place three weeks ahead of the scheduled delivery date and was marked by the presence of Mr. YSR Murthy, the Manager of Dredging Corporation of India (DCI), who received the vessel. The DCI DREDGE XIX is the first of three vessels in this series, followed by the DCI DREDGE XX and DCI DREDGE XXI. The newly delivered dredger will play a crucial role in ongoing maintenance dredging efforts along the Hooghly River, a vital tributary of the Ganges River situated in West Bengal.
