Dean-Reinauer Vessel Reviews and Specifications

On April 28, 2016, a swift response by the Coast Guard led to the rescue of three fishermen from a life raft about six miles east of Cape May, New Jersey. This incident occurred after the 42-foot fishing boat 'Last Stand' encountered a collision with the pusher tug 'Dean Reinauer', prompting the crew of the fishing vessel to report they were taking on water and sinking. In response, the Coast Guard dispatched a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium from Station Cape May. The crew arrived promptly and successfully retrieved the three men from their life raft. Remarkably, they managed to abandon their vessel within 10 minutes of the crash, equipped with survival suits before entering the life raft. Unfortunately, the 'Last Stand' ultimately sank, but thankfully, there were no reported injuries.
