On June 22, 2013, a serious diving incident occurred in the Alvheim field of the North Sea, involving three divers who were unexpectedly pulled down to a depth of 110 meters. The dive was conducted by the 'Skandi Arctic', which was operating under contract for Stavanger-based Marathon Oil Norway AS. The divers experienced an alarming situation when they were briefly shut out of all ventilation systems, putting their safety at risk.
