The Water Bus wharf in Ridderkerk has officially reopened following essential repairs after being struck by the tanker 'My Way' (IMO: 02329893) in November. The wharf returned to service on November 22 during the midday hours, bringing relief to local commuters. Meanwhile, the 6,034-ton vessel had set sail from Rotterdam on November 21 at 7:15 PM, heading towards Hansweert. It reached its destination just after midnight on November 22 before continuing its journey to Flushing later that morning.

On November 21, 2015, at approximately 3:30 PM, a collision occurred involving the tanker 'My Way' and the Water Bus wharf in Ridderkerk. The incident rendered the wharf temporarily inoperable as the vessel, which was empty, navigated through the intersection of the New Maas, Lek, and Noord rivers. During its passage, the tanker struck the floating pier situated at De Schans, causing significant damage. In response to the situation, shuttle services were introduced to facilitate transport between Ridderkerk and Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht. Remarkably, the 'My Way' sustained only minor scratches and, upon a request from Rijkswaterstaat, proceeded under its own power to Dordrecht.
