Diana Shipping Secures Time Charter Deal with Cargill for m/v Salt Lake City
Diana Shipping Inc., a prominent player in the global shipping arena focused on the ownership of dry bulk vessels, has unveiled its latest time charter agreement. Through a wholly-owned subsidiary, the company has forged a contract with Cargill International S.A., based in Geneva, for the Capesize dry bulk vessel, the m/v Salt Lake City. This agreement outlines a gross charter rate of $16,250 per day, subject to a 4.75% commission to be paid to third parties, for a duration ranging from a minimum of eight months to a maximum of ten months. The charter is projected to commence on May 1, 2018. Currently, the m/v Salt Lake City is under charter to Uniper Global Commodities SE in Düsseldorf, with a gross rate of $9,000 per day, minus a 5% commission to third parties. The m/v Salt Lake City boasts a deadweight tonnage (dwt) of 171,810 and was constructed in 2005.
New Charter Agreement Secured for Cargo Transport
