DeepOcean Ghana Secures Three-Year Contract with Tullow Ghana

Apr 19, 2016 07:55

DeepOcean Ghana has successfully secured a significant three-year contract with Tullow Ghana, which includes options for two additional years. This partnership will see DeepOcean Ghana providing a dedicated light construction vessel, the DP2 ROV/construction vessel DINA STAR, to support operations in the region. The DINA STAR is equipped with two 220 HP Constructor ROV systems owned by DeepOcean Ghana, marking the initiation of offshore activities which commenced in March 2016. The contract encompasses critical services such as inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR), surveys, and subsea construction across Tullow Ghana-operated fields, specifically the Jubilee and TEN fields located offshore Ghana. DeepOcean Ghana, an indigenous company where Deep Ocean B.V. owns a 49% stake, has a history of collaboration with Tullow Ghana that dates back to February 2015. Initially, the REM FORZA vessel was mobilized for multi-purpose construction activities at the Jubilee field. Now, the DINA STAR replaces the REM FORZA, which will continue to work closely with Tullow Ghana, providing accommodation and construction support for the TEN project starting from March 2016. This ongoing collaboration highlights DeepOcean Ghana’s commitment to enhancing its capabilities in the maritime industry.
