The KNRM (Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution) was promptly alerted by the nearby ferry, "Dokter Wagemaker," which played a crucial role in guiding rescue efforts, as the four sailors on board attempted but failed to provide an accurate location for their stranded vessel.
