On April 5, 2022, the United States Coast Guard performed a crucial medevac operation for a crew member aboard the tanker 'Dubai Beauty' in Sabine Pass, Texas. The incident began when the Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston received an urgent medevac request at 1 p.m. from the Moran Shipping Agency. A 54-year-old first assistant engineer aboard the vessel was reported to be experiencing symptoms indicative of a stroke. In response, watchstandards at the command center promptly consulted the duty flight surgeon, who advised proceeding with the medevac. A dedicated crew from Coast Guard Station Sabine launched a 45-foot Response Boat–Medium to carry out the operation. They quickly rendezvoused with the 'Dubai Beauty' in the Sabine Pass anchorage. Once on board, the crew successfully transported the ailing engineer back to safety, handing him over to the emergency medical services team waiting at Station Sabine. The engineer was reported to be in stable condition upon his arrival, thanks to the swift and effective actions of the Coast Guard personnel.
