Repair operations are currently taking place at the Tuzla shipyard for the vessel 'Duygu'. The manufacturer has completed crucial measurements on the main engine crank shaft unit and has supplied necessary repairs and spare parts that adhere to the specifications of the original crank shaft's internal and external diameters. After undergoing these essential repairs, the 'Duygu' departed the Tuzla shipyard equipped with a new main engine crank shaft on April 1 at 9:30 a.m., setting its course towards Istanbul. By April 2, the vessel had successfully moored off the coast of Algeciras, signaling the completion of a significant milestone in its maintenance.

On December 6, 2018, the cargo vessel 'Duygu' experienced a critical engine failure while navigating the northern entrance of the Istanbul Strait, en route from Bartin to Istanbul. The vessel was forced to drop anchor as the crew attempted to diagnose the issue. A class surveyor, along with the owner's technical superintendent, boarded the ship to investigate the cause, but repair efforts were beyond the crew's capabilities. To assist, the coastal safety tug 'Kurtarma 2' was dispatched, arriving on December 8 at 9:30 a.m. Additionally, the coastal safety tug 'Kurtarma 8' provided an escort during the vessel's journey through the strait. After completing all necessary formalities, 'Duygu' safely arrived at Tuzla roads and subsequently made its way to a shipyard for repairs later that evening.
