AET Tankers Unveils Eagle Le Havre at Hyundai Heavy Industries' Gunsan Shipyard
On Thursday, June 8, 2017, AET officially unveiled two of its newest long-range (LR2) petroleum tankers at Hyundai Heavy Industries' Gunsan Shipyard in South Korea. The impressive vessels, the 114,000 dwt Eagle Lyon and the French-flagged Eagle Le Havre, are now part of AET's fleet and will be operated under a long-term charter by the renowned French oil giant, TOTAL. The ceremonial naming event took place in Gunsan, where AET's Chairman and President/Group CEO of MISC Berhad, Yee Yang Chien, along with Capt. Rajalingam Subramanian, President & CEO of AET, were among the distinguished guests. Senior representatives from TOTAL's Trading and Shipping Division also attended the ceremony, which included the blessing of the vessel by Mrs. Helle Kristoffersen, Senior Vice-President of Strategy and Corporate Affairs at TOTAL's Gas, Renewables, and Power Division.
