Takeshio Bulk Carrier Experiences Propulsion Failure Near Victoria
On April 21, 2020, the bulk carrier 'Takeshio' encountered a serious issue when it lost propulsion while sailing south of Victoria, British Columbia. The Canadian Coast Guard promptly responded by dispatching the tug 'Atlantic Eagle' (IMO: 9199103) to assist the drifting vessel. After successfully taking the 'Takeshio' in tow, the tug guided the ship to Victoria anchorage, where it was safely moored for repairs at 1 a.m. on April 22.
