Working Conditions Aboard the Elbfeeder

On March 25, 2020, the 'Elbfeeder', traveling from Cork to Antwerp, encountered mechanical issues which necessitated the urgent replacement of the fuel indicator for the No.2 cylinder in its fuel injector pump. On July 12, 2019, the 'Elbfeeder' encountered a pump malfunction while sailing from Antwerp to Dublin. This incident took place approximately 21 nautical miles south of Shoreham, Sussex, at the coordinates 50°31'26.3" N, 000°14'14" W at 1:50 PM. With a crew of 16 onboard, the situation required an estimated three hours for the replacement of the fuel pumps. As a result, the vessel was projected to drift backward eastward at a slow speed, potentially covering a maximum distance of five nautical miles toward the coast. However, the resourceful crew managed to resolve the issue, allowing the 'Elbfeeder' to safely reach Dublin on July 13 at 8 PM.

On March 20, 2019, at 11:15 a.m., the vessel Elbfeeder experienced an oil detector malfunction while navigating from Antwerp to Dublin. The incident occurred at coordinates 50°31'51" N and 0°15'48" W. After the crew conducted troubleshooting procedures, the ship successfully resumed its journey and arrived at Dublin Ferryport Terminal on March 21 at 3:15 p.m.
