On the night of August 24, 2019, a serious accident occurred involving a 29-year-old Vietnamese crew member aboard the vessel 'Elegant SW' while the ship was docking at the Stahl Works Bremen, Terminal 1. The operation was assisted by three tugs when a crucial moment turned perilous; while releasing the stern towing wire, a sudden tension caused a tragic incident resulting in the crew member losing several fingers. Following immediate first aid provided on board, he was swiftly transported to a specialized medical facility for further treatment. In response to the incident, police in Bremen have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
