On February 18, 2019, the cargo vessel 'Avoca,' carrying a crew of seven, encountered a significant issue with its turbocharger, causing its speed to drop to a mere five knots. This incident occurred at coordinates 50 30.32 N, 001 01.77 E in the North Sea. The 'Avoca' had departed from Carteya Guadarranque on February 10, transporting a substantial cargo of 2,961 tons of bentonite. To ensure the vessel's safe navigation, it was under the escort of the French emergency tug 'Abeille Languedoc.' On December 19, 2017, at approximately 10 a.m., the vessel 'Beza' encountered an unfortunate grounding incident while navigating the Gent-Terneuzen-Canal just off the coast of Sluiskil. The ship, which had recently completed its journey from Dunkirk, needed assistance but was successfully refloated shortly thereafter by tugs. By 2 p.m., the 'Beza' was safely towed to the Autriche port in Terneuzen for thorough inspections.
