Fortunately, the skilled crew managed to conduct the necessary repairs, completing them by 6:30 a.m. Following the repairs, the vessel continued its journey and successfully docked at the Royal Portbury Dock at 11:25 p.m., ensuring minimal disruption to its schedule.

In a late-night incident on November 29, 2016, a fire erupted aboard the cargo vessel 'Emerald Leader' while it was stationed at Kaiser Port in Bremerhaven. The alarm was raised at 11:15 p.m., prompting a rapid response from the local fire rescue team, which deployed 34 firefighters to the scene. Upon arrival, the team discovered that a transformer in the electrical operating room was engulfed in flames, creating a substantial amount of smoke in the lower decks. Four brave firefighters donned respiratory protection gear and utilized extinguishing equipment to navigate through the smoke-filled areas. The blaze was swiftly contained, and after ensuring the area was safe, the firefighters proceeded to ventilate the affected rooms. The operation concluded at 1:20 a.m. on November 30. As of now, there has been no formal damage assessment reported. The 'Emerald Leader' had arrived in port from Vigo on November 25, prior to the fire incident.
