Authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the grounding incident involving the MV Encounter near Greenock's Ocean Terminal. The vessel, carrying a crew of 12, ran aground on a sandbank at approximately 5:48 p.m. on December 12, 2023, as it approached the terminal.
